Former World of Warcraft players and passion

Well World or Warcraft is live for more than 10 years, and more than 20 million players had enjoyed it. However, everything that is good lasts shortly so the passion decreases from time to time. We, the former WoW players have been witnessing all changes, patch impacts, pro and cons playing this game. Lately the game has become more friendly with the mid-teenage and  early-teenage population and gold is easier to earn, gear is easier to get and WoW old-school players have lost their passion. Probably the new game of Blizzard will be a refreshment to the players and can offer a game for a bigger group of audience including middle age and older players. However, the game now is played mostily by kids to 14 years.
To be honest, i cant hardly wait for the new Blizzard game.

Will World of Warcraft become freemium?

World of Warcraft was one of the most played MMORPG games back in years. But now, however, the number of players has drastically dropped and Blizzard had made the realms to be cross realm playable.

If you remember the crowdy Orgrimmar , the Auction House, Battlegrounds, nowadays this is not a case. Every fact connected with World of Warcraft is telling us that the game could become freemium ( Free to play, but you will have to pay for some items, skills or incentives ). Also on our opinion, the free play mode until 20 level is just leading us to think like this.  Whats your opinion? Will Blizzard maintain the quality of playing WoW if its free to play?

Cataclysm Preview: Tol Barad

Tol Barad

An island off the coast of the Eastern Kingdoms, Tol Barad is a historic land now sought-after by the leaders of the Horde and the Alliance.

Its strategic, isolated location makes it an ideal stronghold from which to conduct military strikes. In World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, a battle will be waged to seize control of this prized territory. Should you triumph, unique rewards await you. Read more about this all-new world PvP and questing zone here.

Cataclysm Paid Faction and Race Changes

Cataclysm Paid Faction and Race Changes

With two new playable races just on the horizon, many players have been asking when they'll be able to convert their existing characters into goblins or worgen.
Paid faction and race changes will be available immediately once Cataclysm is released.
Realm First achievements for leveling any class to 85 will be available in Cataclysm.
However there will be no Realm First achievements associated with leveling characters of a specific race.

There will be a slight change to the way paid services work for goblins and worgen. Goblin and worgen characters wishing to change race or faction cannot be in Kezan, Lost Isles or Gilneas; they must be elsewhere to initiate the process. There are no restrictions on race/faction change to goblin or worgen.

You can learn more about our promotions and paid services here.

Combat Rez news

Combat Rez news

Category: World of Warcraft News
Blizzard posted some updated news regarding combat rez limitations being implemented in Cataclysm.

The design for combat resurrection effects has changed a good deal for Cataclysm, and we want to make sure players are clear on how spells like Rebirth and Create Soulstone now function. Rebirth has a 10-minute cooldown and Create Soulstone has a 15-minute cooldown. On raid boss encounters, you can only use one of these combat resurrection spells (so one Rebirth or one Soulstone) per attempt for 10-player raids. For 25-player raids you can use three forms of combat resurrection per raid boss attempt (so three of any combination of Rebirth and Soulstone). The count is incremented as soon as a player accepts a resurrection, so one can always choose not to accept if he or she wants someone else to get the resurrection instead. There is no equivalent of the Sated debuff (which tracks Bloodlust/Heroism usage), but you will get an error message if you try to resurrect too many players, and we might add tracking to our raid interface if there is demand for it. Outside of raid content, you can use as many battle resurrections as you have available.
For those of you currently participating in the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm beta test, please note that this functionality may not be fully implemented as of yet. If you notice combat resurrections are not currently functioning as explained here, this is just a heads-up about the updated design intent behind them.

Upcoming Tanking Changes Updated 10/29

Upcoming Tanking Changes Updated 10/29
Category: World of Warcraft News

We have a few more changes which have just come through the pipeline we'd like to share. Some of these changes override changes previously announced in this thread.
This is the sort of rapid iteration our development teams excel at, which is why we're sometimes unable to share every single tweak we make with the public. Game balance is an ongoing project, but since we have a good platform in this thread for sharing tanking changes, let us have a look at the latest:
Guardian of Ancient Kings (talented) ? 50% damage reduction, 3 minute cooldown, 12 second duration.Icebound Fortitude (talented) -- 50% damage reduction, 3 minute cooldown, 12 second duration.Survival Instincts -- 50% damage reduction, 3 minute cooldown, 12 second duration.Shield Wall (talented) ? 40% damage reduction, 2 minute cooldown, 12 second duration.Shield Wall (talented and glyphed) ? 60% damage reduction, 4 minute cooldown, 12 second duration.
